“I have always considered my customers as friends. I am truly grateful for all your support. My team and I look forward to serving you again soon!”
The Praying Hands, is one of a series of detailed pencil drawings and paintings created by the artist Chad S. Hawkins. In 1989, at the age of seventeen, Chad became the original LDS artist to involve hidden spiritual images in his artwork.
Chad was nineteen years old and preparing to serve a full time mission in Frankfurt, Germany when he created this drawing. While in Germany, he gave prints of the Praying Hands to investigators he met to serve as a visual reminder of Moroni’s promise to pray sincerely about the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon and the message of the restored gospel.
“Behold, I would exhort you that when we shall read these things, if it be wisdom in God that ye should read them, that ye would remember how merciful the Lord hath been unto the children of men, from the creation of Adam even down until the time that ye shall receive these things, and ponder it in your hearts.”
“And when ye shall receive these things, I would exhort you that ye would ask God, the Eternal Father, in the name of Christ, if these things are not true; and if ye shall ask with a sincere heart, with real intent, having faith in Christ, he will manifest the truth of it unto you, by the power of the Holy Ghost.”
“And by the power of the Holy Ghost ye may know the truth of all things.” (Moroni 10:3-5)
